The Windsor Arts Centre is a thriving centre for drama, film, theatre and art. The listed building was once the magistrates court and fire-station, but in the 1970’s was converted to the town’s first Art Centre.
The stage is simply a floor space in the tiered auditorium. The impact of a play relies on the actors rather than the setting and the Guild carefully chooses its plays for this venue. Often high drama, sometimes comedy – but always dramatic. In the recent past we have staged Sweeny Todd, A Streetcar Named Desire and After Mrs Rochester.
